Getting things done

Practical help, step by step

In an emergency

  1. 1Dial 112 first. It reaches police, fire and ambulance on every network.
  2. 2Say what happened, the town, the area and a landmark people know, such as a school, church or junction.
  3. 3Stay on the line and answer the questions. Keep your phone free afterwards in case they call back.
  4. 4If 112 does not connect, try police on 191 or 18555, fire on 192 or ambulance on 193.
  5. 5For a medical emergency close to a hospital, going straight to its emergency unit can be faster.

Getting around and sending parcels

  1. 1Book a ride with a verified driver on the Rides page. Live rides currently cover Sefwi Wiawso.
  2. 2Send a parcel or document across town with a delivery rider from the Delivery page.
  3. 3For travel outside town, check the Transport section of the directory for stations and operators added by our team.

If your vehicle breaks down

  1. 1Move off the road if you can, switch on your hazard lights and place a warning triangle well behind the vehicle.
  2. 2Get passengers out and away from traffic, especially at night or on a bend.
  3. 3Call a mechanic or vulcanizer from the directory and tell them exactly where you are.
  4. 4If anyone is hurt or the vehicle is on fire, dial 112.

Finding medicine

  1. 1Open the Pharmacies page to see licensed pharmacies and the medicines they have listed.
  2. 2Send a request to a pharmacy, with a photo or PDF of your prescription if the medicine needs one.
  3. 3A pharmacist replies with stock and the next step. For urgent symptoms, call 112 or go to a hospital.
